What is dice dot?

Dice dots are the small circular marks on the faces of dice used in games and gambling. Typically, there are one to six dots on each face of a standard six-sided dice, with the number of dots corresponding to the number on the face. The dots are usually indented into the surface of the dice or painted on, and are often designed to contrast with the color of the die to make them easier to read. Dice dots are a key component of many tabletop games, from classics like Yahtzee and Monopoly to modern games like Dungeons & Dragons, where they determine the outcome of crucial actions and events.
